Since I've Been Gone...

OK let's get this ball rolling! Uh... I actually don't have anything to post for you right now. I just grabbed that Christina Aguilera, though. So there should be some of that later tonight. Look at this too if you want, here is a repost of what I put on the M___ A_____ website a couple days ago.
And if anyone's interested, here is some audio that's been getting this intern out of bed each morning. Some of the tracks are not good, but they're all great, if you catch my drift.

Mistah FAB - Ghost Ride It
(click to download)

Bay Area rapper-slash-novelty Mistah FAB breaks down "ghostriding the whip" and other Yay slang for the uninitiated over an extremely obvious and familiar sample... Guess who's drivin'? Patrick Swayze!

Pimp C - I'm Free (click to download)

The recently-incarcerated half of the Underground Kings chronicles his release from prison. The outrageous part is that it flips Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'." Oh, yes.

Rappers Delight Club - First Ladies Anthem (click to download)

I guess the story behind this one is that this "club" is a rotating cast of rapping elementary school students from Maryland. They come pretty hard, and the hipster factor on this rises exponentially because they are spitting over a sped-up Sufjan Stevens sample (I know, right?). They (or their organizer) even have a MySpace.
