What happened to Def Jux? I distinctly remember their first wave of artists: El-P, Lif, Aesop Rock, Can Ox. But then it gets kinda spotty after RJD2, with SA Smash and Hanger 18 and Rob Sonic (who?). The only good stuff MURS put out on Def Jux was with 9th Wonder, and Cage had a pretty good album. It seems like its in a sort of sophomore slump, and this album will likely continue the label's descent into mediocrity. "I Phantom" was fresh, and this album ("Mo' Mega," out June sometime) is solid, but isn't spectacular. Sounds about right, which is consistent with Lif's batting average of about .309.
